Plus... A Little Magic The Disney Christmas Season is our favorite time to visit.
Photo and Story by BruceWDW
It's never too early to talk about visiting Walt Disney World during the Christmas season. Mary Ann and I have visited Walt Disney World in every season, but there is no better time than during the Christmas celebration in the parks and the resorts at the happiest place on earth. And the best time to celebrate Christmas at Disney is after Thanksgiving and before mid-December. Here are 12 reasons in no particular order (and I've never seen a partridge in a pear tree in Animal Kingdom). Christmas at Disney runs from near the start of November through the actual Christmas holidays. You have nearly two months to find a convenient time to attend. The expanse of activity, decoration, entertainment and fun throughout Walt Disney World is therefore available almost one-sixth of the calendar year to put you in the holiday spirit. Bringing the magic home: Carrot Cake Cookies Recipe
I love carrot cake cookies from Writer's Stop at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The Growing Up Disney family first discovered them a few years back and they have been a "must do" for us ever since. We even hosted a meet at Writer's Stop and had a great time sharing cookies and conversation. If you haven't tried one yet, this confection consists of yummy cream cheese icing sandwiched between two huge carrot cake cookies. Definitely a treat to share with a couple of friends or tuck in your bag to finish later.
I have a great recipe for cheesecake cookies that I have shared here before. It makes delicious cookies, is really easy and is simple to vary since it it is based on a cake mix. One day I had the idea to try to recreate Writer's Stop carrot cake cookies at home using this recipe. Truth be told, I was also annoyed with myself that I hadn't thought of it before. About the Author:

I think watching a True-Life Adventure called The Living Desert started my enthusiastic love of Disney; I must have seen this film every year I was in elementary school. Of course there was the original Mickey Mouse Club which encouraged me to watch Walt Disney Presents (and its successors). Then the 1964-65 World's Fair introduced me to many new and future technologies (Wow, I can actually see people on the telephone!); but mostly it was the awe and imagination that Walt Disney infused into that exposition which started me on my present path. Much of my life's enjoyment has revolved to a great degree around the imagination and creations of Walt Disney, and to enjoy the work of those who he inspired. So where else would Mary Ann and I go on our honeymoon but Walt Disney World two years after it first opened, and the adult love story began (both my marriage and Disney devotions). Skip ahead to today, and I'm writing blogs and posting information for the world to act upon (particularly contests) and use (like the trip planning information in A World View). Two children and four grandchildren later, we still look forward to a Walt Disney World vacation, of course with family, but also just the two us absorbing and enjoying the most magical place on earth.
Again, good luck and have a magical day.
